A Destination for Seniors (60+): With sweeping views to the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Santa Barbara Channel Islands and stunning landscapes, the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is a great place to explore California’s native plant diversity.
Join the Land Trust as we hike through one of Santa Barbara’s most beloved trails!! This hike includes some gorgeous views of the coast and the city as we make our way through oak woodlands and meadows.
Elings park is a 250 acre private non-profit park open to the public. Known mostly for it’s athletic, cultural and natural environs, it hosts varied habitat and trails that can lead one to many places that birds call home.
Stevens Park is nestled in the San Roque canyon. The route we will take follows the San Roque creek which provides nice riparian habitat. The trail goes under the Foothill Blvd bridge where there can often be sightings of White-throated Swifts.
Out and Back – 5 miles (2.5 miles each way). Moderate incline for first 1.75 mile with an elevation gain of 1,000’ which is pretty shady and riparian, the remaining 0.75 miles to the road is steeper with an additional gain of 750’ and is more exposed.
