Volunteers of all experience levels are invited to learn about trail restoration while working to improve conditions on Sycamore Creek Trail and the Historic Olive Grove Loop. Tools\, instruction\, and lunch will be provided! \nRSVPs are required for this event! To RSVP\, contact Eric Ullrich\, City of Santa Barbara Parks Supervisor\, at (805) 564-5439 or EUllrich@SantaBarbaraCA.gov \nSCHEDULE AND LOCATION\n8:30 a.m. Meet at Parma Park\, Stanwood Main Entrance (2066 Stanwood Drive) for safety orientation and instruction\n9:00 a.m. Depart for trail worksites\n1:00 p.m. Return for a picnic lunch to celebrate your hard work! \nPARKING\nParking is available on Stanwood Drive outside and inside the gate. If street parking is full\, please drive through the gate to the gravel lot for additional parking and follow directions from staff. Overflow parking will be available at Sheffield Reservoir\, located at 530 Mountain Drive. \nTRAILS\nSycamore Creek Trail\, Historic Olive Grove Loop \nSAFETY\nVolunteers must attend the safety orientation provided at the start of the day to participate in trail work. They are not allowed on the trails\, and the parking area is not shaded. \nSedgwick Reserve holds public access days on the second Saturday of December through May. Visitors may either join a docent-led hike or opt for creative time\, where you can enjoy the nature around the field station through art\, photography\, meditation\, or other pursuits. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Reservations are required by calling (805) 688-4515. \nFirst come\, first served. Available for ages 3 and older. No pets\, please. Free to campers or free with the $10 park entrance fee for day-use visitors. There are also miles of trails for self-guided hikes within the park. Trail maps are available at the Main Gate. \nPrivate guided walks outside of these times are also available depending upon staff availability and have a $30 group fee.
