Sierra Club Saturday Hike – HORSESHOE BEND

Moderately strenuous 9 mile rt (-300’) to Horseshoe Bend, Manzana trailhead in the San Rafael Wilderness. 1.5 hr caravan to trailhead and approx. 5 hr hike so expect an all day adventure. Many water crossings require shoes you can get wet and hike in. A swimsuit may be desirable for swimming holes. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Bring 2-3 liters of water, lunch, and sunscreen. Note the early start time of 8:00AM.
