Sedgwick Reserve | Public Access Day
Summary
The following are docent-led, interpretive hikes, and while you will get some miles under your feet, they move at a naturalist’s pace. You will learn about flora, fauna, geology, history, and more as you immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of this beautiful landscape.

Easy+ Hike — SOLD OUT
- Quail Trail
- 2.5 miles.
- 250 feet of elevation gain.
- 2.5 hours.
Moderate Hike
- Kite Ridge to Mesa
- 3 miles.
- 350 feet of elevation gain.
- 2.5-3 hours.
Moderately-Strenuous Hike
- Southwest Corner Hike
- 4.25 miles.
- 550 feet of elevation gain.
- 3 hours.
Strenuous Hike
- Blueschist
- 3.25 miles.
- 600 feet of elevation gain.
- 3.5 hours.
Pet Policy: Please leave your dog at home. They are not allowed on the trails, and the parking area is not shaded.
Sedgwick Reserve holds public access days on the second Saturday of December through May. Visitors may either join a docent-led hike or opt for creative time, where you can enjoy the nature around the field station through art, photography, meditation, or other pursuits.
