Chumash Shell Midden ~ Community Hike
Summary
Join us as we hike through the dunes to the site of the ancient Chumash Shell Midden. The shell midden’s are evidence of native habitation and we’ll explore the areas where villages were thought to be.
Description
Closed toed shoes and layers are recommended as weather conditions and terrain can change significantly. This is a moderate hike with approximately 200ft elevation.
We will meet at the parking lot at Rancho Guadalupe Beach. Take West Main Street from Hwy 1 for approximately five miles.
$5 for members, $10 for non-members.
