About this activity

[SOLD OUT] Join the Land Trust for an exciting morning hike in one of coastal California's crown jewels! Land Trust Treks are a series of free, guided public hikes and outdoor experiences to explore Santa Barbara County with your local Land Trust.

[SOLD OUT]

Join us for a Land Trust Treks on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, from 9 am – 1 pm, at the amazing Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve! Sitting on the Point Conception, the Preserve creates one of the few largely untouched landscapes in Southern California and has some of the highest biodiversity and cultural values in the world!

On this 1-mile coastal bluff hike, we will get the opportunity to learn all about the animals and plants that call the Preserve home. The trail is exposed to sun and wind. The trail is on even, flat terrain with some sandy sections. Weather is variable, dress in layers and be prepared for sun, rain, cold, and high winds throughout the day. Bathroom access available at meeting location. No water available, please bring your own supply of water. No dogs allowed at the preserve.

The Preserve is private property and only accessible through guided public-programs. All visitors must follow preserve guidelines at all times.
