Sierra Club Sunday Hike

Sunday, April 22, 2018 · 9:00 am – 11:00 am Activity website

About this activity

Usually meets at 9 AM behind B of A on State St. at Hope Ave.

The ARROYO HONDO PRESERVE is about 23 miles north of Santa Barbara. First from the parking area, easy walk along the creek on the CREEK SIDE TRAIL (about 1mile)

Then up and down the strenuous UPPER OUTLAW TAIL (a 3mile loop, spectacular view, interesting sandstone formations). Rest on top. Back down, we can complete the pretty last upper part of the CREEK SIDE TRAIL (two easy crossings), maybe see trouts and turtles. Finally, to return to the parking area, we can either continue along the creek or go up and down the WEST RIDGE TRAIL for more view and work out. Anyway, we should see a variety of trees and flowers.
